Surventis will use Automechanika 2026 to present a fresh vision for automotive refinish, showing how modern body shops can become faster, more efficient and more sustainable through a connected mix of coatings, digital tools, consultancy and innovation.
The company will appear at the Frankfurt trade fair under the theme “Driven by Speed. Defined by Results”, positioning its offer around measurable improvements for repair businesses.
Visitors can expect to see how Surventis’ portfolio is designed to help body shops shorten processes, strengthen operational performance and prepare for the next generation of repair requirements.
Automechanika 2026 will also be an important public moment for Surventis as it introduces its new identity to the sector at a major international trade fair. The business, formerly known as BASF Coatings, brings together well-known refinish brands such as Glasurit, R-M and Refinity under one broader organisation focused on helping customers move further in a changing market.
Steve Arndt, Executive Vice President Refinish Coatings at Surventis, said the repair industry is shifting beyond standalone products towards connected business ecosystems. According to Arndt, the body shops best placed for success will be those able to combine technology, digitalisation and specialist expertise into smooth, integrated operations.
At the centre of the showcase will be the idea that automotive refinish is increasingly shaped by how products, data, processes and people work together across the repair journey. Surventis says its integrated approach is intended to improve productivity, profitability and sustainability at the same time, rather than treating these goals as separate challenges.
A key example will be Refinity, Surventis’ digital ecosystem that connects data, repair processes and technologies. New capabilities within the platform will be shown at Automechanika, with initial availability for Surventis customers. The company says tighter links between different stages of the repair process can give body shops a clearer operational view and support more reliable decision-making.
Visitors will also see emerging automation concepts that show how digital technology, process knowledge and automation may work together as repair workflows continue to evolve.
Surventis has more than 130 years of experience in surface solutions and serves customers in more than 140 countries. The company employs around 10,700 people, reported sales of about €3.9 billion in 2025 and is headquartered in Muenster, Germany.
