Volvo Car South Africa announced the local introduction of the Volvo Genuine Parts Extended Warranty.

This exciting new initiative is designed to reward loyal owners of otherwise out-of-warranty Volvo vehicles with added peace of mind.

This newly launched Volvo Genuine Parts Extended Warranty covers any defects in material manufacturing as well as workmanship for as long as the same customer owns the vehicle. The cover applies to repairs conducted on out-of-warranty vehicles where the work was done by an authorised Volvo dealership.

This non-transferable coverage includes not only the cost of the replacement Volvo Genuine Part but also the labour required to fit it. Taking advantage of this industry-leading offering is simple. The customer need only provide a receipt for the repair (when the component in question was fitted at the authorised Volvo Workshop) and prove that they owned the vehicle at the time of the initial parts installation.

“This is effectively a lifetime parts warranty linked to the owner and demonstrates that we have the utmost faith in both Volvo Genuine Parts and the expert Volvo technicians who fit them. It’s furthermore an illustration of our commitment to providing a no-fuss ownership experience to loyal customers whose vehicles are no longer covered by our standard or extended manufacturer’s warranty,” said Hilary Allison, Director of Retailer and Business Development at Volvo Car South Africa.

It’s important to emphasise that, unlike the standard warranty that is included with a new-vehicle purchase, the Volvo Genuine Parts Extended Warranty – which commences on the date of purchase of the part – follows the combination of “car and car owner”. As such, should the vehicle move to a new registered owner, the parts warranty would expire. Multiple users, however, do not affect the validity; ownership continuity, the use of genuine parts and installation at Volvo dealerships are the power forces behind this peace-of-mind solution.

The Volvo Genuine Parts Extended Warranty does not cover accessories, wear-and-tear components, consumables, batteries, wholesale parts or software that is not associated with a hardware replacement. Furthermore, the Volvo Genuine Parts Extended Warranty is subject to Volvo Cars continuing to stock the component in question.

The Volvo Genuine Parts Extended Warranty is the latest example of Volvo Car South Africa’s dedication to its loyal and growing customer base, this time with a particular emphasis on those further into the ownership experience.
