The iconic Kyalami Grand Prix Circuit will once again come alive from 28–30 August 2026 as the Festival of Motoring (FoM), powered by WesBank, returns under the banner “Driven by Purpose, Defined by Legacy.”
In a world dominated by digital engagement, FoM continues to stand out as the essential in-person meeting point where automotive heritage connects seamlessly with future-focused innovation. It’s the space where brands, enthusiasts, and communities rediscover the thrill of real, hands-on motoring experiences.
“We’re meeting customers where buying decisions truly happen, inside the car and on the track,” says Michael Dehn, Managing Director of Messe Frankfurt SA.
“The Festival shows how eager people are to reconnect with the industry,” added Lebo Gaoaketse, WesBank’s Head of Marketing and Communication.
The 2026 edition promises impressive scale and diversity, offering a rich and immersive experience. Visitors can look forward to more than ten thousand track drives from over twenty major brands, access to fifty pit doors, main circuit activity throughout the weekend, a self-handling track with more than forty vehicles for testing braking, agility and stability, and a dedicated 4x4 Village that showcases the capabilities of at least ten leading off-road manufacturers.
For thrill-seekers, the new FoM Adventure Zone provides high-adrenaline drifting sessions and karting challenges, perfect for anyone eager to push their limits.

High-performance highlights include the Sunbet ZX10 Masters Cup, Investchem Formula One-Type Demonstrations, Vilaca Racing Speed Challenge, the BMW M Performance Parts Race Series and a special Simola Hillclimb Experience, a Johannesburg version of Knysna’s legendary event, supported by top driver academies like Volkswagen and Mercedes-Benz.
Beyond the track, FoM celebrates the culture and community that fuel automotive passion. Premier car clubs will showcase their finest vehicles in an expanded Show & Shine experience, while retail zones feature industry favourites such as Castrol, The Grand Prix Store, and Autostyle Motorsport.
“Visitors aren’t just attending an event, they’re entering a space where passion is validated and memories are made,” concluded Judy Maharaj.
