Namesh Govender has strengthened his KwaZulu-Natal towing operation with the introduction of the region’s first 65-tonne Hino 700 Series tow truck.

The vehicle is a 2845 freight carrier that has been equipped with a 40-tonne winch and finished in a bold, customised Style Towing livery, making it instantly recognisable on KZN’s roads.

Namesh has been involved in the towing industry since 2005 and has consistently chosen Hino trucks for his successful business, based in Springfield, Newlands West, Durban.

“I currently run two additional tow trucks, a Hino 814 and a Hino 915, and over the years I have owned several other Hino models, including eight-tonners, as well as a Toyota Dyna,” he explains.

He purchased the Hino 700 towards the end of 2025 and has been particularly impressed with its performance, noting excellent fuel efficiency and strong power delivery. He also values the extensive standard safety features offered by the model. His fleet is supplied and serviced by Hino Shelly Beach.

The 700 Series tow truck is built on a 6x4 freight carrier chassis. Its bodywork was completed by Transpec in Durban, while Artistic Signs and Graphics created the standout livery. The truck is driven by Keenan Govender, who has been part of the Style Towing team for two years.

Anton Falck, Vice President of Hino South Africa, commented that the loyalty shown by Namesh and his team is a testament to Hino’s global Total Support strategy, which focuses on building long-term relationships with customers and responding to their evolving logistical needs.
