PPG has entered into a comprehensive strategic partnership with Toyota Motor Europe.
According to a press statement the aim is to establish a foundation for sustained collaboration aimed at improving performance, operational efficiency, and environmental sustainability across Toyota and Lexus collision repair facilities throughout Europe.
The newly formed alliance positions PPG as an authorized supplier of automotive refinish solutions and services, with Toyota Motor Europe now recognizing PPG, NEXA AUTOCOLOR®, and MAXMEYER® as approved coating brands within its network. Beyond supplying premium refinish products, PPG will provide cutting-edge digital technologies, technical guidance, and comprehensive training programs to support Toyota Motor Europe's operational objectives and sustainability initiatives.
"This partnership represents an exciting opportunity to support Toyota Motor Europe's collision center network across the continent," stated Juan Navarro, PPG's marketing director for Automotive Refinish. "Through our innovative solutions and industry expertise, we're committed to helping Toyota maintain exceptional repair quality and consistency throughout Europe."
The collaboration encompasses several critical support areas:
Advanced Digital Solutions: PPG will deploy its VISUALIZID™ digital color matching technology alongside the MOONWALK® automated mixing system to enhance precision and streamline operations.
Environmental Sustainability: The PPG SUSTAINABILITY CO₂NCEPT™ system will be implemented to minimize energy consumption, reduce waste generation, and lower emissions across repair processes.
Professional Development: Specialized certification programs from the PPG Refinish Academy will ensure technicians receive comprehensive paint application training.
Operational Excellence: Dedicated consulting services will focus on elevating repair standards and optimizing operational performance across the network.

"This alliance exemplifies both organizations' commitment to driving innovation, delivering superior performance, and promoting sustainable practices within the automotive refinish sector," Navarro emphasized.
The partnership framework operates at a regional level, with specific implementation strategies to be coordinated through Toyota's individual national market teams to ensure localized effectiveness and support.
