
The National Association of Automotive Component and Allied Manufacturers (NAACAM) held its 2025 Annual General Meeting (AGM), which this year took place as an elective AGM. Members convened to elect representatives to both the NAACAM National Executive Committee (NEC) and the various Regional Committees, ensuring continued leadership and representation across the organisation.
NAACAM is pleased to announce the incoming NEC for the 2026/27 term, which reflects a strong balance of continuity and renewal. The committee includes the return of experienced members alongside new leadership at both national and regional levels, positioning the association to continue effectively representing and advancing South Africa’s automotive components sector.
Ugo Frigerio of Feltex has been re-elected as NAACAM President. He will be supported by Vice Presidents Andrea Moz (Auto Industrial), Thamsanqa Arthur Mtombeni (Shatterprufe Windscreens), Jacques Rikhotso (Bridgestone EMEA), and Selvin Konar (Smiths Manufacturing (Pty) Ltd).
They are joined on the National Executive Committee by the following elected members: Andy Dealtry (Ebor Automotive Systems), Brent Oakes (Acorn Black Investments), Gareth Fismer (CRH Africa), George Yerolemou (Acoustex), Goodrich Kowane (Hulamin), Henk van der Merwe (MA Automotive), Hercu Aucamp (Trident Steel), Jean Philippe Marillet (Bosch), Johan Mouton (Metair), Juergen Wolf (MAHLE Thermal and Fluid SA), Ken Manners (SP Metal Forgings), Luca Smargiasso (Malben Engineering), Martin Buchalter (Algoa Component Manufacturers), Milos Despotovic (Maxion Wheels), Paul Johnson (Lear Corporation), and Priscilla Weitz (Axalta Plascon).

In addition, NAACAM members elected representatives to the Regional Committees to ensure strong regional engagement and alignment with national priorities. The elected Regional Committee members are as follows:
KwaZulu-Natal: Pregan Naidoo (MAHLE Thermal and Fluid SA) and Lulu Dladla (Hulamin)
Western Cape: Benjamin Banzhaf (Atlantis Foundries) and Shaun Rosenstein (CGI)
Gqeberha & Kariega: Marshal Myburgh (Schaeffler) and Luvuyo Sineke (NewBreed Holdings)
East London: Ayrton Pretorius (Selago Industries) and Mihlali Sogoni (FirstPro)
Gauteng: Glenn Geldenhuis (AutoX) and Rafaela Vilas Boas (Sodecia)
