Changan South Africa and its official distributor, Jameel Motors South Africa, have officially opened the brand’s flagship dealership in Pretoria, signalling a strong commitment to customer service and long-term support in the country’s growing automotive market.
The Pretoria facility is one of 25 fully equipped and trained dealerships already in operation, providing full sales, service, and parts capability. This growing network reflects the company’s focus on accessibility, technical standards, and customer care.
Marinus Venter, Country General Manager for Jameel Motors South Africa, said the event marked the next phase in building a sustainable support structure for owners. “We’re really looking forward to what’s ahead. Customers will benefit from Changan Aftersales, a comprehensive support programme including service and maintenance plans, extended warranties, 24-hour roadside assistance, and access to our national dealer network.”

At the launch, Changan introduced a complete model line-up featuring the Alsvin sedan, CS75 Pro SUV, Hunter Turbo Diesel, Hunter Range Extending Electric Vehicle, and the Deepal S07 EV. With this mix of petrol, hybrid, and electric vehicles, service teams across the dealer network will be required to stay up to date with evolving powertrain technologies and diagnostic procedures.
Xiao Feng, General Manager of Changan Automobile Middle East and Africa, commented, “We are so excited to be in South Africa with Jameel Motors as our partner and look forward to building our legacy here and being a part of the country’s fabric.”
The City of Tshwane praised the investment, describing it as a boost to the region’s automotive infrastructure. Governance and Support Officer Musa Khumalo said, “This is a powerful vote of confidence in our city’s infrastructure, talent and opportunity.”

The brand’s first local customer, high school student Martinique Lamprecht, received her new Alsvin 1.5 DCT at the event. Her milestone moment underlined the growing confidence of local buyers in Changan’s quality and reliability.
With its technical training, service programmes, and nationwide support network, Changan South Africa is establishing the framework for durable customer relationships and a robust aftersales ecosystem that aligns with its promise to be “Driven to Evolve.”
