Making its debut at the 9th edition of Automechanika Johannesburg, the automotive company believes that exporting its services must be prioritised. Established in the early nineties, the organisation has grown into one of South Africa’s largest automotive accessory retailers.
With over three decades of expertise, the company offers a wide range of products and services, ensuring that all car enthusiasts find what they need. From wheels, tires and audio systems to roof spoilers, coilovers and air suspensions, Autostyle Motorsport caters to all automotive needs. Founder, Mohamed Mayat, comments: “I started Autostyle 30 years ago. I used to sell ginger biscuits and then I smashed my sister's golf. As it wasn't insured, my former partner and I were fixing the car up. So we bought the incorrect bumper, and I advertised the bumper in the Junk Mail and that’s how the selling started. So for one year, I just sold a bumper and then business picked up and one thing led to another, to another, to another,” says Mayat.

The year 2024 marked Autostyle’s first appearance at Automechanika, showcasing their commitment to growth in wholesaling and exporting. While participation in shows and events like the Festival of Motoring presented challenges owing to high costs and modest returns, the exposure underscored the brand's resilience and ambition. Looking ahead to 2025, Autostyle’s aims to refine its approach, ensuring better returns from such events and expanding its reach in domestic and international markets.
What sets Autostyle apart in the highly competitive automotive industry is its unwavering dedication to customer service. With a long-standing slogan - "We beat any price" - the company combines affordability with unmatched hospitality. Every potential customer is greeted with warmth, offered refreshments and is assured of personalised attention. This exceptional focus on creating a welcoming environment and delivering value has earned Autostyle a loyal customer base.
With the continuous growth of Autostyle Motorsport, it remains a cornerstone of the automotive industry in South Africa proving that exceptional service and quality products are the key to sustained success.
