Nissan South Africa has launched a new initiative aimed at helping owners of older Nissan vehicles maintain and repair their vehicles more affordably. Through its Nissan Value Advantage Parts programme, the company is expanding access to service kits, filters and maintenance components for the popular Nissan NP200 and NP300 Hardbody ranges.
As vehicles age, sourcing reliable replacement parts can become increasingly challenging. Nissan's latest campaign is intended to address this concern by providing validated parts and service kits designed specifically for established models that continue to serve both private owners and businesses across South Africa.
The Value Advantage Parts range focuses on delivering a cost-effective maintenance solution without compromising on quality. All parts are validated by Nissan, carry their own warranty and are backed by Nissan South Africa, giving owners additional peace of mind when maintaining older vehicles.
To improve accessibility, the programme will be available through Nissan dealers nationwide. In addition, Nissan has partnered with the Motor Industry Workshop Association (MIWA), enabling participating independent workshops to offer the same approved parts and service kits to customers throughout the country.
According to Juan Wheeler, Managing Director of Nissan South Africa, the initiative reflects the company's commitment to supporting customers well beyond the expiry of their vehicle warranties. He notes that many NP200 and NP300 Hardbody models remain in active service and continue to play an important role in daily transport and business operations.
The initial range includes major and minor service kits as well as Value Advantage filters. Coverage extends across the Nissan NP300 Hardbody range and the entire NP200 line-up, including 8-valve petrol models, 16-valve petrol derivatives and the widely used 1.5 dCi diesel variants.
Beyond parts availability, the programme also strengthens support for independent repairers. Participating MIWA workshops will have access to a dedicated Nissan support line, helping them source components and provide ongoing maintenance services for older Nissan vehicles.
Wheeler highlights that Nissan's dealership network of more than 100 outlets ensures that most South Africans are located within reasonable proximity to a dealership. This allows owners to continue benefiting from Nissan-backed support whether their vehicles remain under a service plan or have transitioned into long-term ownership.
Freddie Louw, Aftersales General Manager at Nissan South Africa, says the long-term value of a vehicle is determined not only by its performance when new but also by the support available throughout its lifespan. He explains that the Value Advantage Parts programme and collaboration with MIWA are designed to give owners of older Nissan models greater maintenance flexibility, improved access to parts and continued confidence in their vehicles.
With many NP200 and NP300 Hardbody models still operating on South African roads, the initiative is expected to provide owners and fleet operators with a practical and affordable way to keep these vehicles running efficiently for years to come.
