Premier Truck Group (PTG) is set to open the largest commercial truck collision center in the U.S.
The 85,000-square-foot facility in Dallas will feature 44 production bays, 32 to 36 technicians, two 80-foot downdraft GFS paint booths, and ADAS calibration equipment.
John Spoto, PTG’s Director of Collision, said the new center reflects the increasing sophistication of commercial trucks and will allow PTG to service more fleets. Replacing a smaller facility in the same market, the new shop is four times larger, with the old location converting into a parts warehouse.

PTG, owned by Penske Automotive Group, operates 11 collision centers in nine states and 45 dealerships across 10 states and two Canadian provinces. Penske reported $30.5 billion in 2024 revenue, with PTG contributing $3.5 billion. Service and parts generate 25% of PTG’s revenue and 65% of its gross profit.
PTG follows a “ONE” philosophy—One Network Executing—ensuring seamless, customer-focused service across all locations. Spoto emphasized adherence to OEM repair procedures, stating, “You never compromise safety or quality based on a business decision.”
Before joining PTG, Spoto worked with 3M’s MSO team and has taught for I-CAR. He views PTG’s biggest competitor as itself, constantly pushing for improvement. “Every day, we’re going to do at least one thing better,” he said.
With the Dallas expansion, PTG continues to strengthen its presence in commercial truck repair, positioning itself for further growth.
“We’re not stopping,” Spoto affirmed.
