AI INNOVATIONS IMPROVE FLEET MANAGEMENT SAFETY

Following their 2024 Road Safety report, webfleet introduced new AI technology to improve their fleet-management systems.

Integrating Artificial Intelligence (AI) into their catalogue is the centrepiece of webfleet’s exhibition at Automechanika 2024. Introducing the market to the new technology will streamline how fleet managers engage with their information. Having exhibited at Automechanika before, the company wanted its newly AI-integrated cameras to differentiate them from their competitors.

A new product currently under beta testing is a new chatbot integrated into the new cameras. This system will allow the users to interact with the chatbot when searching for information instead of compiling it themselves. “Let's say, for instance, you wanted to see, two weeks ago, on the Tuesday, who your worst driver was, you simply chat to the chatbot,” says Sales Director, Justin Manson.

“So what we do is we have a look at what caused the accidents and then we ask how we could have prevented them. Government always tells us how many accidents have occurred, but there's never any detail… So what we do in the transport space is dig into what caused them”, Manson continues. “We keep safety as an underlying ethos,” Manson explains when describing why they commission an annual road safety report. Their 2024 report engaged with participants responsible for almost 70 000 vehicles across the country. Some 90% of respondents said they used data transferred directly from vehicles to enhance road safety with 80% of them noticing lower collision rates.

Using a Formula 1 racing simulator placed inside a hot red F1 car model to draw attendees to their stand, webfleet guaranteed a constant crowd around their exhibition. At the very least, attendees are able to race each other to see who can get the fastest lap. Whether you are looking for new ways to improve the efficiency of your fleet or just to get a personal best on the F1 leaderboard, webfleet has cemented itself as a standout exhibition.
