Challenger Lifts has introduced a new Adapter Cart that aims to improve workshop efficiency by providing technicians with a convenient way to store, organise and transport essential lift accessories throughout the service bay.
Designed for busy automotive workshops, the mobile cart keeps commonly used adapters, spacers and footpads together in a single location, reducing the time technicians spend searching for the correct lifting equipment before servicing a vehicle. By allowing the complete kit to move easily between workstations, the system is intended to minimise interruptions and support a more organised workshop environment.
According to Challenger Lifts, the Adapter Cart serves as a centralised storage solution that promotes cleaner service bays while improving workflow and day-to-day productivity. It is intended for workshops that service a wide variety of vehicles, including passenger cars, bakkies, light trucks, cab-off truck applications and selected electric vehicles.
The accessory package includes four six-inch stack adapters for vehicles fitted with running boards or side steps, together with four three-inch stack adapters for moderate lift-point height adjustments. Also included are four EV foot pads designed to help protect battery packs and sensitive chassis components on compatible electric vehicles. For truck servicing, the cart features four cab-off adapters fitted with U-channel pads that support pinch welds during cab removal procedures.
By keeping all lifting accessories together on a mobile platform, technicians can move the complete set from one service bay to another instead of retrieving individual components from different storage areas, helping to improve both efficiency and workplace organisation.
At present, the Adapter Cart is not listed as a standard product through South African workshop equipment suppliers. However, local availability may be confirmed through Challenger Lifts' authorised distributor network or by contacting the company directly. South African workshop equipment suppliers that specialise in vehicle lifting equipment may also be able to source the product on request.
The Adapter Cart is expected to appeal to dealerships, fitment centres, panel shops and independent workshops looking to improve workflow, particularly those servicing larger vehicles and the growing number of electric vehicles entering the market. While local pricing and availability have yet to be confirmed, the cart provides a practical solution for workshops already operating compatible Challenger two-post or in-ground lifting systems.
